What's Pulsing on The Bear-o-meter....

Paris:

Je suis amoureuse! Newly opened Grand Hôtel Du Palais Royal has got everything… and they got it right! The location is the envy of every hotel in Paris-- near the Louvre, Rue St Honoré, Jardin des Tuileries, and the Royal Palace (with all those divine shops in the courtyard like Stella McCartney, Mark Jacobs, Louboutin, and if you're in the market for the perfect black dress, La Petit Robe is the perfect address)! The accommodations are contemporary chic and functional (trust me, they're ahead of the game right there) and the chef, Jean Yves Bournot, is a magician!

When Hôtel de Nell opened in this up and coming neighborhood, they wanted to make sure their guests were well fed and voila, an outpost of the trés chic brasserie, La Regalade, was born! Look for an organic décor and locavore products in this 33 room boutique hotel.

If you’re into island hopping, go to the famously historical Île Saint Louis and treat yourself to a fabulous meal at Le Sergent Recruteur. The restaurant has been brought back to life with a new look, new menu, new chefs and a Michelin star! It’s not on everyone’s radar yet, but it will be… bon appétit!

My favorite hangout for lunch has always been Ladurée on Rue Royale, but since it is being renovated and the other locations are oh- so- touristy (spoken like a true tourist), I have made the switch to the classic and fashionable Carette Trocadéro which just opened in Place de Vosges—just don’t tell anyone my secret hideaway.

Get the macarons at Cafe Carette Trocadero!

Pick up NurofenFlash at any pharmacy—the French version of Advil only stronger, quicker, better…just saying!

Headache medicine that really works and fast!
